Always keep your finger off the trigger until ready to shoot.
When holding a gun, rest your finger on the trigger guard or along the side of the gun. Until you are actually ready to fire, do not touch the trigger.

AIM FOR SAFETY is a 10-minute training video that was produced for the construction industry. This video is designed to teach viewers how to safely use the Bridger™ Line Throwing Gun, including:

Line throwing gun safety issues; how they differ and how they are similar

Pre-firing procedures including site survey
Planning and monitoring a safe firing route

AIM FOR SAFETY is quite comprehensive and is highly recommended as a training video for any application. Please recognize that the actual line throwing gun used is the video is no longer manufactured, however the instructions and use are identical.

In addition to this video it is recommended that all persons using the line gun kit be trained in standard gun safety. See Safety Tips for National Rifle Association Gun Safety Rules.
